Lecture 1.  The evolving spectrum of optic neuritis

Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:

• Generate a differential diagnosis of acute optic neuritis
• Develop a strategy for the evaluation and treatment of the optic neuritis patient
• Identify factors affecting visual prognosis in acute optic neuritis

Lecture 2. Giant Cell Arteritis: New Perspectives

Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:

• List the multiple presentations of giant cell arteritis
• Discuss the management and treatment of giant cell arteritis
• Understand new research findings linking varicella zoster with giant cell arteritis.

WAEPS members shouldregister for each session in the series by contacting the WAEPS office: [email protected] at least four hours prior to the program. They may also log into their WAEPS member account via the website and register online. Those wishing to participate via webinar will be provided with that month’s login information. To claim CME credit for any of the sessions in this series, please download the credit claim form from the WAEPS website’s Monthly Meeting page and keep track of the sessions you attend. Be sure to submit that form to the WAEPS office no later than May 31, 2017. In addition, in-person attendees must sign in at each session to have their participation verified and receive credit. Note that WAEPS membership is required in order to claim credit for the series.
