Lecture 1: Vitreoretinal surgery for macular disease

Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:

• Recognize macular pathology that can be treated with vitreoretinal surgery
• Describe surgical techniques used to treat macular pathology
• Discuss indications, risks, and benefits of surgical intervention

Lecture 2: Posterior segment disease in ocular trauma

Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:

• Recognize posterior segment pathology that can occur as a result of ocular trauma
• Discuss indications for vitreoretinal surgery after open globe injury
• Identify risk factors associated with poor visual outcome and the development of retinal detachment after open globe injury

How to Participate:

WAEPS members should register for each session in the series by contacting the WAEPS office: [email protected] at least four hours prior to the program. They may also log into their WAEPS member account via the website and register online. Those wishing to participate via webinar will be provided with that month’s login information. To claim CME credit for any of the sessions in this series, please download the credit claim form from the WAEPS website’s Monthly Meeting page and keep track of the sessions you attend. Be sure to submit that form to the WAEPS office no later than May 31, 2017. In addition, in-person attendees must sign in at each session to have their participation verified and receive credit. Note that WAEPS membership is required in order to claim credit for the series.
