We are offering an opportunity for an experienced and energetic Ophthalmic Assistant to grow their career with a group of specialized ophthalmic surgeons with wide clinical experience in the latest advances in eye care and their team of highly skilled ophthalmic technicians with advanced knowledge of diagnostic testing and examination techniques.

Our onsite multi-level training program provides one-on-one, hands-on training to expand your knowledge and enhance your clinical skills and continuing education opportunities to maintain your certification and knowledge base.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail, critical thinking skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and a strong desire to learn.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, professional patient care and assist the physician with diagnostic testing, patient education and administrative tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • EMR experience, proper charting and history taking.
  • Friendly, team-oriented individual who enjoys working with patients of all ages.
  • Additional skills such as scribing, minor surgical assisting, IOLMaster/Lenstar, and retinoscopy are a plus.
  • Ability to be certified as an MA-R within 30 days of employment.
