Seattle/King County Clinic

Thank you to the WAEPS members and their practice employees who contributed hundreds of hours to make this year's SKCC Vision Clinic a huge success!  We had 13 WAEPS MDs contribute over 200 hours and the ophthalmology residents from the UW and Madigan Army Medical Center contributed an additional 100 hours! Techs who volunteered put in many hours, as well.

Julia Colson, the SKCC Director, wrote to thank WAEPS for its support of the clinic:

"Thanks to the support of WAEPS and others we were able to serve 1385 patients in the vision area.  As mentioned above, more than 1200 eyeglasses were prescribed (not counting readers).  Also, in collaboration with Project Access Northwest, Kaiser Permanente of Washington and UW Eye Institute, 117 patients with conditions such as glaucoma and cataracts were assisted in accessing specialty care for their condition."

Please save the dates for the next SKCC:   October 18-21, 2018.
